Pandion Welcomes Three New Board Members
ROCHESTER, NY, June 24, 2021 – Pandion Optimization Alliance announces the appointment of three new members to the companies’ Board of Directors. The addition of these directors adds strategic value and depth as well as merger & acquisition experience to our already talented team.

Christopher J. O'Connor, CEO of The Bayard Group, is an experienced executive and nationally recognized healthcare entrepreneur, innovator, and thought leader. With more than three decades of global experience leading and advising growth-oriented hospitals and health systems in strategic supply chain management, Christopher is known best for his contributions at the intersection of cost, quality, and outcomes (CQO). O’Connor is a Rochester native who successfully led the GPO, Acurity, from 2003 until their sale to Premier (NYSE: PINC) in 2020 for $300 million, as well as Nexera, Inc which was also sold to Premier.
John P. Sganga, Senior Advisor, Healthcare at Google X Development, brings with him immense knowledge and experience in new healthcare technologies, platforms, and concepts. In 2016, as President and CEO of Innovatix & Essensa, he successfully led a sale of 50% of that enterprise for $365 million to Premier, Inc. Subsequently, Sganga served as Senior Vice President at Premier, Inc., one of the largest group purchasing organizations in the country, leading multiple key strategic and operational goals including: overseeing Alternate Site Programs in the generation of $350 million in annual revenue; developing Stockd, Premier’s multichannel marketplace; and reintroducing supply chain services through the Business & Industry division. Sganga’s three decades of contributions to the supply chain space, as well as his time serving as an executive in the GPO space, offer Pandion a wealth of knowledge and insight in the purchasing and direct to consumer space.
Lastly, we introduce Jeffrey Rubin, D.M.D. A co-founder of Post Acute Partners, Dr. Jeffrey Rubin previously was president of Millennium Healthcare, a skilled nursing and assisted living provider in Bergen County, New Jersey. He also developed the state’s first LTACH (long-term acute care hospital). As a managing principal for 12 years, Rubin oversaw operations, clinical services, clinical reimbursement, and provider relationships. Dr. Rubin’s experience in the skilled nursing, assisted living and long-term care spaces brings an invaluable amount knowledge to our board and ultimately to the members of Pandion.
