ROCHESTER, NY, June 11, 2023 – Pandion Optimization Alliance, a premier Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) harnessing the collective power of our customers for value and savings, celebrated significant milestones at their recent annual meeting. They proudly announced the achievement of $1.25 billion in purchasing volume, added two new board members and honored the remarkable 30-year tenures of two key senior executives, Karen Yacono and Jeanie Smith.

The accomplishment of the $1.25 billion volume goal was a notable highlight of the meeting. This achievement represents 189% growth from five years ago when the company was at $432 million. Over this period Pandion experienced both robust organic and inorganic growth. A highlight of this past year was the strategic acquisition of GroupSource out of Kansas City, which added over $350 million to Pandion's purchasing power in 2022. “GPOs are never more important than when inflation is raging. Our value proposition of providing elevated access to products and services that harness the collective power of our customers and amplifies buying power is as compelling as ever,” said Travis Heider, President and CEO of Pandion.

Karen Yacono, CFO and Executive VP, and Jeanie Smith, COO were honored for 30 years of dedicated service to the company. Their leadership has been instrumental in Pandion’s recognition as a leader in the GPO space. "With median tenure at companies pushing the low single digits on average, it’s poignant that Pandion has two female C-Suite executives that have been with the organization for 30 years. They’ve ascended through various roles, seen tremendous change in health care and continue to thrive,” said Heider. He continued, “their dedication of 30 years of service to our organization cannot be overstated."

Finally, Pandion added two new board members to their enterprise on three-year terms. Adam Guy, President of Upper Crust Food Service and a Pandion National equity partner, is the leading provider of food service to fraternity, sorority and summer camps across the country. Upper Crust is on over 100 college campuses in 45 states. Lindsay Powers, Chief People Officer of Discover Education, was also added as an independent board member. Lindsay drives strategies to attract, retain and engage diverse talent to support business success at Discovery Education. She also spent six years at Pandion’s strategic partner, Premier Inc. [NYSE:PINC], where she was Senior Vice President and successfully integrated six acquisitions. “Both Adam and Lindsay represent tremendous additive talent in focus areas for Pandion to our Board of Directors. Their strategic thinking and experience combined with their vast network will enable us to achieve that 3X growth we’ve identified in our next strategic plan,” said Heider
